Work-Life Balance:
The reality, the roadblocks and the RESET
A Leadership Networking Event
Wed 25th March, 6pm to 9pm
Platf9rm, Hove
Investment: £24.95
We talk about work-life balance like it’s a time-management issue… it’s not. It’s a leadership issue; a brain issue, and for most business owners – a belief issue.
This high-value networking event brings together like-minded business owners for an evening of insight, honest conversation, and meaningful connection.
The conversation
In a short, punchy 20-minute talk Grant Goss and Lauren Stoney offer two powerful, complementary perspectives on work-life balance. Grant draws on decades of experience building and scaling businesses, and his work through Clarus Fortior and Another View Retreats, Austria, supporting SME owners to step back, zoom out, and lead businesses that support a balanced, fulfilling life – not consume it.
Lauren brings the science of the brain and mental resilience – unpacking the unseen mental patterns, stress responses, and self-sabotaging habits that quietly block balance, even when the strategy looks right on paper.
Together, they’ll explore:
- What a genuinely balanced and fulfilling life looks like in practice – not theory.
- Why driven, capable leaders struggle to switch off (even when they want to)
- The brain-based roadblocks that keep you stuck in overwork and pressure
- How to start changing those patterns so balance becomes sustainable – not another thing to “fail” at
Then, the networking
After the talk, you’ll have time to connect with other business owners and leaders in the room, people navigating similar challenges, asking similar questions, and building businesses with intention. Drinks and canapes will be provided.
Who it’s for
Business owners, founders, and leaders who care about performance and longevity, and who value intelligent conversation and meaningful connection over surface-level networking.
